Day 13 is Sunday, December 5th, 1982 in story mode. Following a terrorist attack the day before, the new M.O.A. director institutes stricter protocols.
Rules in effect[]
- Entrant must have a passport
- All documents must be current
- Arstotzkan citizens must have an ID card
- Foreigners require an entry permit
- Workers must have a work pass
- No weapons or contraband
- Diplomats require authorization
- NEW: Foreigners require an ID supplement
Events[]
- The first entrant is a foreigner and carries an ID supplement. They are either transiting through or visiting Arstotzka.
- After the second entrant, Calensk shows up and pays the inspector 5 credits for every 2 people detained in the past two days. He will not pay more than 10 credits regardless of the number of people detained. If fewer than 4 people were detained before his visit on day 11, he will pay no more than 5 credits, regardless of the number of people detained between the visits on day 11 and day 13, saying that he had to spend the rest of the money to cure his wife.
- Calensk counts as an entrant because he increases the number at the bottom of the screen by 1.
- The sixth entrant (including Calensk; see above) is Filipe Hasse. He has lost his ID card and gives the inspector his Arstotzka Arskickers pennant.
- The seventh entrant is a foreign engineer who can be given one of Messof Anegovych's business cards. Offering them a card three times prevents getting the Arstotzka token. Their papers are always correct but there is a 20% chance that they state their duration of stay wrong.
- The ninth entrant complains about the new ID supplement requirement and says it would be faster to just bribe the inspector. Their papers are not always valid and it can be possible to detain them (no unique dialogue is generated on detainment.)
- Letting a randomly generated smuggler (i.e. a person with invalid weight) through can lead to a terrorist attack, cutting the day short at some point after the ninth entrant. This can also happen by letting through a randomly generated diplomat with valid papers.
- If the inspector did not burn the 1,000 or 2,000 credits brought by the strange man earlier, the neighbors file a report and extra credits are confiscated at the end of the day by the Ministry of Income.
- The end of day screen states: The neighbors have reported your new wealth. The Ministry Of Income has confiscated your savings pending investigation.
- EZIC will offer help to solve the issue on day 14.
Transcripts[]
Seventh entrant (an engineer)[]
If given a business card:
- What is this?
- [one of the following]
- Oh. Huh.
- Huh.
- They are hiring?
If given another card once:
- I have already.
- [gives the card back]
If given another card the second time:
- Stop giving to me.
- [gives the card back]
If given another card the third time:
- Forget it, take them both. I don't want.
- [gives two business cards back and will not accept more – this prevents getting the Arstotzka token]
Ninth entrant[]
Introduction (after regular Q/A):
- This id supplement is total pain.
- Was not easy to get and only lasts few days.
- You Arstotzkans just make it harder and harder.
- Why even have open border?
Upon approval:
- Bah.
- Would be better to spend money on bribe.
- Less trouble and faster.
Upon denial:
- Bah.
- I knew it would not even work.
- Would be better to spend money on bribe.
